Do you know all you need to know to safely ride a bike with traffic? Do you feel you know enough to teach your children and friends how to ride cautiously and conspicuously while on their own? When you’re driving, are you confident on ways to respectfully share the road with people on bikes?

Bicycling In Greensboro invites you to come learn tips, tools and techniques to answer “YES!” to each of these questions. Traffic Skills 101 is a fast-paced class that will give you the confidence to ride safely and legally in traffic or on trails and greenways. You will learn how to conduct bicycle safety checks, fix a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques. This eight-hour class will be led by League Cycling Instructors (LCI) certified by the League of American Bicyclists. This is a prerequisite of all other Traffic Skills courses including the LCI Seminar where you can become a certified cycling instructor.

Even if you are an advanced rider, not only we will you pick up new cycling skills, but you will also learn ways to effectively communicate with motorists, both while on the road and in general conversation, and your experience will be invaluable to beginners.

At this time, we are only accepting online registrations. If you are unable to pay online, you must pay with cash or check before beginning the class on March 28.
