Bicycling In Greensboro (BIG)
is a volunteer-run, grassroots advocacy organization, focused on
improving conditions for, and awareness of, bicycling throughout the
greater Greensboro area. BIG carries out its mission through
Advocacy, Alliances, Education, Events, and Service, with the ultimate
goals of safe and convenient bicycling for transportation,
recreation, health, environmental quality, and energy independence.
BIG has recently designed and ordered some fine looking T-Shirts,
that will soon be ready to wear. Be one of the first cyclists in
town to sport one of these eye-catching shirts that bear both the BIG
logo, and a positive message about bicycling. Yours for a
tax-deductible donation of just $20. Check out the design and let us know how many of each size you want to pre-order!
BIG and the League of American Bicyclists (LAB) encourage you to
participate in National Bike Month. The month of May is designated as
National Bike Month, and BIG has coordinated with numerous other
organizations in the area to bring you a wide array of fun,
informative, and inspiring events! See the calendar of events above for
full details!
BIG is proud to announce the launch of its completely new website!
The BIG website has undergone a full makeover, but you can still find
us at the same familiar address: www.bikegso.org. Some work remains on
a few details and some of the informational resources need to be filled
in, but the basic layout and main pages are essentially complete. The
newly overhauled website is intended to become a valuable and
authoritative resource for all bicyclists. Watch for frequent
updates!
