The Greensboro Ride of Silence is part of a world-wide event uniting bicyclists globally in honoring those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. Thus, the ride raises awareness of cyclists' presence on roads and encouraging motorists to share the road.

This slow-paced, annual ride will be conducted differently this year in order to comply with NC COVID-19 regulations:

  • Participants must preregister online in order to participate to keep the number of participants at or below the number required by NC law,
  • Two staggered start times with a 100 person limit set for each ride,
  • The groups will not be escorted by the Greensboro Police this year due to the necessity of having more than one start time. Traffic laws at intersections will apply.
  • Ride support will ensure that no one is left behind.

A signed liability waiver & helmet is required for all participants. Ride departs 7PM sharp. Children are welcome but need to be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
